A long-awaited report into the effects of the Castle Mill student flats neighbouring Port Meadow will be published on Thursday.

Oxford University said the “environmental impact assessment” (EIA) will set out how the development has affected the environment – covering issues such as noise, views and wildlife.

During a High Court battle against the Campaign to Protect Rural England, which unsuccessfully called for a judicial review of the original planning decision, the university promised to produce the study retrospectively.

Copies will be available online at oxford.gov.uk or at Oxford City Council’s offices in St Aldate’s, or the Westgate, Summertown and Botley libraries.
