SOLICITORS put their best foot forward to raise hundreds of pounds for cancer sufferers across the county.

The team from Blake Morgan, based at Seacourt Tower, donned their running shoes and took part in a 160-mile relay race from London to Cardiff.

Fundraisers raised more than £300 for charity Maggie’s Oxford, which supports people with cancer, as well as their families.

The team of 12 runners and two support team members took 27 hours and 55 minutes to reach the end of the Wolfpack Running challenge.

Runners left London on May 16 before reaching Cardiff Bay the next day.

Commercial team partner Penny Rinta-Suksi said: “This is a great example of how we work together across our offices as one team.

“More than anything, it illustrates the determination of our people to step up to a seemingly impossible challenge and deliver. In this event, we were competing against outdoor fitness clubs and ultra-runners.

“Through fantastic teamwork, preparation and co-ordination, we pulled together to overcome the obstacles and finished the race in an impressive time.”

The Oxford team were part of a group of Blake Morgan solicitors across the country who have raised more than £3,000 for good causes.
