A BOOK of remembrance has been set up at Oxford City Football Club for people to pay their respects to managing director Colin Taylor.

Floral tributes have also been growing inside the club's stadium to the 62-year-old who was found dead at the Marsh Lane ground last weekend.

Club chairman Brian Cox decided a book of condolences was in order to give mourners a platform for their tributes.

He said: "So many people have been getting in touch with messages and tributes.

"It's been a constant stream and it's been unbelievable really.

"We wanted to have somewhere people could leave their messages and words about Colin so set up the book of remembrance."

The book was only put in place at the club's £2.1m community arena - a venture introduced by Mr Taylor - but it has already been inundated with messages.

Mr Cox added: "It will remain at the club for the time being for anyone to sign and we will have to see what happens after that.

"We would like to keep it here to honour Colin but it might also be nice for his family."
