DRIVERS faced traffic tailbacks across the city this evening after a series of crashes on the A34 and Eastern By-Pass Road.
There was a crash on the A34 northbound at Kennington, believed to be at the Hinksey Hill Interchange, which blocked the road and caused tailbacks to South Abingdon.
The same road was blocked at the Peartree Interchange, where two cars crashed and also blocked part of the road.
The Eastern By-Pass Road was part-blocked due to a two-car crash at the junction with Sandy Lane West.
There was also a crash on the A34 at the Wendlebury Interchange near Bicester, where a lorry fire on the A41 northbound also slowed down traffic.
All crashes have since been cleared and South Central Ambulance Service said it was not called out to any of them.
