A boxer who has trained in the Bicester area is set for his first professional fight next month.

On May 25, Harley Pullen will step into the ring at York Hall, London.

Pullen has prepared for the fight with an eight week camp and said he is "very exciting about showing everyone what I can do with a great team behind".

He also runs the Future Boxing Academy - a boxing club in Little Chesterton, near Bicester.

His supporters will make their way to the venue in coaches departing from and returning to the Bicester Hotel Golf and Spa.

Standard tickets for the event are priced at £60 while ringside seating will cost £100.

Pullen said: "I want to thank everyone that has brought tickets so far as all the support means the world to me."

He has a range of sponsors, namely Control time, Park flooring, D.R.D roofing, JC drives and patios, 1st4fitness and Fairfax developments.

Pullen is the second boxer set for their debut bout having trained in the Bicester area.

Brad Axe, who has trained under Carl Ellis, will fight an opponent currently listed as Vasif Mamedov over four rounds on promoter John Clark’s show in Brentwood, Essex, on April 27.

Axe, aged 27, is an RAF firefighter based at Moreton-in-Marsh where he works as an instructor in the military fire service having joined the RAF at 18.
