FORMER Oxfordshire seamer Jack Brooks was hailed by both coaches after helping Yorkshire to a ten-wicket win over Worcestershire in their County Championship Division 1 game yesterday.
After taking five wickets in the first innings, Brooks added another four to his tally to help his side ease home.
Yorkshire coach Jason Gillespie commented: “I was pleased with the way we bowled in the first innings, but in the second innings Jack Brooks was fantastic.”
Worcester director of cricket Steve Rhodes said: “Sometimes you have to take your hat off to the opposition.
“It was world-class – Test-match bowling to be honest from (Tim) Bresnan and Brooks.
“That could have destroyed a lot of batting line-ups.”
