A BRILLIANT century from Alec Cunningham propelled Oxfordshire Over 50s to a 25-run victory over Wales in the opening game of this season’s ECB 50-Plus championship at Banbury.
Cunningham struck 20 fours in his unbeaten 118 and shared a second-wicket stand of 151 with Bicester’s Nick Moorman (80) as Oxon rattled up 255-2 from their 45 overs.
Wales were well-placed after a century opening stand, but seamer Simon Priscott picked up three quick wickets.
Cunningham closed out the win with two wickets to add to his two catches and century.
